What’s the fastest way to board passengers onto an airplane? Jon Hotchkiss knows the answer. Hotchkiss is the creator of the series This vs That which features 6 X 60 episodes. Hotchkiss owns the copyright and format. The six episodes were previously licensed to Beyond and Discovery Channel who ran the episodes in about a dozen foreign territories. However, the show NEVER had a US distributor or platform.
“This is the best format I have ever created,” says Hotchkiss. It’s available to license or produce new episodes.
Below, episode #1 featuring an experiment like none done previously. Over the course of a single day, 100 passengers were boarded over and over again in different methods onto a 737 jet. It’s an experiment conducted in partnership with Jason Steffon, an astrophysicist, who runs the prestigious Kepler Lab in Chicago. The results of this experiment were written about in more than 200 newspapers from around the world.
Jon Hotchkiss and Jason Steffon were also featured on the series premiere of Brian Williams’ prime time NBC news magazine, Rock Center.
